From Educator to Designer
I have always enjoyed problem solving, but my desire for a more artistic career led me to UX design.
My teaching experience has taught me strong communication skills as well as how to balance business requirements with user requirements as I balanced school/student requirements daily. I'm looking forward to using my skills to create the best possible product for all parties.
In my free time I enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons, volleyball, and making pottery.
My Experience
After leaving the education field I completed CareerFoundry’s UX Design certificate. I then began utilizing my skills through volunteer work with TechFleet, working as a solutions architect lead.
I am currently working as a freelance UX designer while completing a second UX certificate from Google. In my free time I coach multiple high school sports teams.
